Hydro-seeding Installation
Hortiplan offers hydro-seeding, an ecological process by which seeds, water, fertilizer, mulch (cellulose) and glue are mixed and applied under pressure to the prepared soil.
An amendment, conditioner or soil corrector can also be added, if needed.
In one application, the soil is sown, fertilized and covered with mulch to allow an efficient rooting and a quick germination of the seeds on the soil.
TO BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU A PRICE, THERE ARE SEVERAL FACTORS TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT:
- Surface area in sq2 of the land to be sown.
- Type of soil and the quality of the preparation.
- Flat or sloping ground.
- Type of sunny or shady environment.
- Quality and type of seed chosen.
- The use of the prepared surface.
- The choice or not of an amendment or fertilizer.
The price starts at $895 for a surface up to a maximum of 4000sq.ft.
Hydro-seeding can grow on any type of surface in its cellulose in the short term.
But the success of a successful seeding in the long term relies largely on the method of preparation and quality of the soil.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE COMPONENTS
- The cellulose (mulch) keeps the seeds firmly in contact with the soil, captures and redistributes moisture to allow germination and limits erosion while the seeds are being set.
- Choice of seeds; we will work with you to choose the seeds that will best adapt to the factors encountered on your land, as opposed to standard mixes that do not always meet the requirements encountered
- Addition of amendment and fertilizer. The choice of an amendment or fertilizer will improve the structure and fertility of the soil to give the seeds ideal conditions to develop.
- Ecological glue is added to this mixture to allow a better fixation of the mulch and the seeds to the soil.
