The proper preparation of the Topsoil
This step is very important
Two steps are essential before starting

It is the soil that provides nutrients, water, and minerals to plants, trees, and lawns.
It is therefore important to prepare the essentials - THE SOIL - in the right way before starting a successful landscape project.

  1. Diagnostic site analysis for problems. First, it is important to identify the conditions of the site, because in order to know the soil we are working with. This will allow us to know if the soil needs corrections before laying the lawn for its growth. It is important to ensure that the soil in place is of good quality. If one of these elements is missing, we can easily correct it before laying your lawn, to avoid problems in the short and medium term.
  2. It is essential to remove and/or destroy the weeds and all undesirable plants before preparing the lawn. Hot water weed control is the most effective and ecological method to control all weeds (optional).

Once the undesirable plants are removed, here are the steps that our team proposes.

Stripping the soil
The company must strip the lawn surface to be repaired in order to remove the old felt, the waste and the large stones for the continuation of the operations

Stripping, crushing, crumbling, and leveling of the existing soil surface
The company shall grind, crush and level the soil in place to allow air and water to penetrate to provide a better soil layer for the roots.

Addition of Topsoil for Turf
The company will supply Topsoil for the work to have a layer of soil prepared to a maximum thickness of 100 mm (4 inches) depending on soil conditions up to 200 mm (8 inches).
(OPTIONAL) Soil amendment: the company will incorporate compost into the soil in place to improve its structure and fertility and to be more resistant to heat and stress disputes by providing microorganisms.

Spreading Topsoil
The company must spread and mix with the soil in place the topsoil on the approved and not frozen subgrade.

Finish Grading
The company shall grade and disturb the existing soil to eliminate roughness and low spots and ensure proper drainage of surface water. The company must be able to count on a well loosened and frank layer of soil by first crushing it and then raking it.
Afterwards, the company will use a roller to firm up the topsoil. Before proceeding to the next step, the company must ensure that the surfaces are smooth, uniform, firm and resistant to footprints.
